Beeswax Finishing Cream for Woodwork

Wood Finishing Cream made at Blackford Glen by blending Natural Beeswax with Food Safe Mineral Oil, is used as a protective finishing treatment on some of the wooden products made in the workshop at Blackford Glen.

For best results, untreated wood should be sanded down, dampened to raise the grain, let dry, sanded smooth again and then given a liberal application

of the cream. The oil content will soak into the wood to enhance the grain and, when the piece is allowed to dry, the wax content will be on the surface and can be polished with a soft, clean cloth.

It is ideal and safe for treating chopping boards for example.
